He carries a lot more weight than he lets on, and while he rarely speaks openly about it, the years have left their mark on the way he sees the world.

When Pascal arrives, Cubbi notices something in him that sets him apart. He can’t name it, but it makes him trust Pascal more than he should. It is what leads him to take Pascal under his wing, pushing him through training whether he’s ready or not.
