Lorath Wood is the great forest of the kingdom of Dunwyn. Vast and ancient, it is home to both the gummi bears of Gummi Glen and a wide range of other creatures, and sits within reasonable distance of Dunwyn Castle.

Lorath Wood is a sprawling wilderness that serves as both refuge and frontier for those who live within and around it. Its dense canopy and winding interior make it easy to get lost, and easy to hide. For the gummi bears, it is home territory; for most humans of Dunwyn, it remains largely uncharted and best avoided, save for some roads and trails.
The forest is remarkably diverse in terrain — mountains and hills rise across its interior, rivers and lakes thread through its valleys, and waterfalls are not uncommon. Most of its waterways eventually find their way to the sea.
Ancient Gummi Influence
The ancient gummi bears did not merely inhabit Lorath Wood, they shaped it. Hidden throughout the forest are remnants of their ingenuity: secret entrances concealed within trees, branches engineered to act as lever mechanisms, and other modifications blended so seamlessly into the landscape that they are easily mistaken for nature itself.

Lorath Wood lies mostly within the middle the kingdom of Dunwyn, bordering Dunwyn Castle and its surrounding lands. The forest’s exact boundaries are not clearly defined, but it encompasses enough to take up a majority of Dunwyn’s map.
